This volunteer scheme involves painting bins, poles and benches around the
festival site over the two weeks before the festival, in return for a ticket.
All volunteers must be available to arrive on site on the
weekend of June 5th/6th and complete 10 days painting between the 7th–11th
and 14th–18th of June 2027, between 9am and 5pm each day.
The weekends are free, and after you have completed your shifts on June 18th
you are welcome to stay on site or go home.
We need you to arrive before 3pm on Sunday June 6th to attend a meeting with all
the supervisors and volunteers.
Your first meal is dinner on Sunday 6th June, after the meeting. From the 7th
until and including the 18th you will be provided with 3 meals a day in crew
catering.
You will have your own bin painters camping area within the festival site.
All bin painters must camp on site, but you will be able to leave
site in the evenings or at weekends.
There are toilets, showers and washing machines available on site.
All paint, brushes, etc will be provided.
Volunteers need to bring all their own tents and camping equipment, and clothing
suitable for all weathers that they are happy to get covered in paint. It gets very
cold at night in June, so please remember to bring warm clothing and bedding.
It can also rain a lot, so bring waterproofs.
We have large numbers of bins, poles and benches to paint. You can get creative,
but you will be expected to paint quickly, and everyone will have to paint bases
as well as decoration.
All volunteers must be over 18, able to work outdoors in all weathers, and
responsible for the health and safety of themselves and those around them.
Volunteers work in small groups, each with a supervisor — they are there to help
with any problems and to coordinate the group.
